HOUSE  RULES

DEAR GUESTS!

Welcome to our student hall of residence. Thank you for choosing us for your holiday. Our friendly staff will do their best to make your stay with us as comfortable and carefree as possible.

We would like to inform you further about the hotel’s house rules, general terms and conditions and provide you with essential information relevant to your stay with us.

Please observe all signs and floor markings as well as written and verbal instructions given by staff. Please contact reception with any questions. We would be pleased to receive your feedback.

These house rules are in force during the tourist season from 24 June to 31 August.

CHECK-IN – CHECK-OUT

Check-in is possible after 14:00 on the day of arrival. Please check in with your ID at reception upon arrival. Early check-in (before 14:00) is possible by arrangement with reception, if the room is available early, at an extra cost of € 50 per room.  

Overnight stays by unregistered persons are forbidden.

Unless otherwise agreed, your reserved room will be waiting for you until 20:00. If you have not checked in by 20:00 and have not informed us in advance of a later arrival, we may rent out the room to someone else. In case of late arrival, we will offer the room only within the limits of available capacity.

Please pay your hotel bill on the day of departure and leave the room by 10:00.

The room rate is valid from 14:00 on the day of arrival until 10:00 on the day of departure. Guests who do not leave the room in time will be charged half price until 19:00 and full price after 19:00, according to the current price list.

In the event of early departure, we reserve the right to charge up to 100% of the total amount for hotel services ordered but not used.

The receptionist will assign the guest to a room subject to availability. The hotel tries to accommodate guests’ requests, but room availability is limited.

OPENING HOURS 

RECEPTION: 6:00 to 22:00

NIGHT SECURITY: from 22:00 to 06:00

BAR AND TERRACE: 8:00 to 22:00 exceptionally until 23:00.

RESTAURANT: from 7:00. to 22:00., exceptionally until 23:00.

MEALS

Buffet meals are available in our two restaurants, located on the ground floor. You can enjoy breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00, lunch from 12:00  pm to 14:00 and dinner from 19:00  pm to 21:00.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. Meal replacements must be requested at reception by 8:00 am for the following day.

Food cannot be taken from the restaurant.

NIGHT REST          

Night rest at the hotel is from 23:00 until 06:00, so please be considerate. Guests are not allowed to disturb the peace by being noisy. In case of noise, please contact the security guard at reception.

SAFE

There is no safe in the rooms. Valuables can be stored at reception. We cannot be held responsible for money or valuables in the rooms.

HOTEL BILL

You can pay the bill for your stay and other charges at reception every day between 07:00 and 20:00. You can pay by cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro).

ADVANCE PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

STANDARD RATES

Our standard rates are published on   our website and also available at reception. Our hotel has single, double and multi-bedded rooms. The ensuite rooms have their bathrooms inside the bedroom, other rooms have a shared bathroom on the floor. We offer occupancy-based pricing:  room rates are based on the number of paying guests per room. (If two adults and a child – free of charge – stay in a room with four beds, the room is considered to be a double room.)

TOURIST TAX

Tourist tax is charged to those who are obliged to pay it according to the Decree on Tourist Tax in the Municipality of Izola. The tourist tax exemption will be considered upon presentation of the relevant proof on the day of check-in.

ROOM CLEANING

The rooms are cleaned of rubbish on a daily basis. Our staff do this every day between 9:00 am and 13:00. If you need daily cleaning, please place an order by 9:00 at reception for the following day.  Additional room cleaning will be charged according to the current price list.

TOWELS AND BED LINEN

We do not provide towels in the rooms. You are advised to bring your own. In case you forget your towel at home, it can be purchased at reception (€ 10 per towel). Bed linen is included in the room rate.

FORGOTTEN ITEMS       

Forgotten or found items are kept at reception until the end of the current season (31 August). After this date, lost items are dealt with according to the regulations in force. Forgotten items will be sent to you by post only at your request and at your expense.

DAMAGE OF HOTEL PROPERTY

Please do not remove any items from your room or hotel. The guest is liable for damages caused by his/her fault or the fault of those for whom he/she is responsible. The guest will be charged depending of the type of inventory damage.

SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited on all our premises. In the event of non-compliance with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Slovenia, we will be obliged to take appropriate action. Additional cleaning due to smoking in the room will be charged according to the cleaning service’s price list.

FIRE SAFETY AND SECURITY

Signs indicating emergency exits, evacuation routes and fire extinguishers are posted in each fire sector. Please follow the fire regulations and the instructions of the staff. The use of heating or cooking appliances is not allowed in the rooms. Bringing in of flammable, explosive or odorous substances is strictly prohibited.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION 

During your stay, we ask you to protect our natural environment and to use water and electricity rationally.

ELECTRICAL VOLTAGE

The alternating voltage is 220 V.

SECURITY SERVICES

Security services are provided by security guards. They carry out access control tasks (identification, surface inspection of outerwear and luggage, etc.) in the protected area. In accordance with Article 11(9) of the Security Act, the person in charge of the SŠ Izola – SM Isola has posted in prominent places the signs SECURITY as well as several signs containing the most important instructions (excerpt) from the house rules in the secure area. When carrying out private security duties, security guards may use the following measures if there is a threat to life, personal safety, property and if the house rules or public order in the protected area is violated: warning, verbal order, identification, surface inspection, preventing entry to or exit from the protected area, restraining a person, use of physical force, use of means of restraint.

MAINTENANCE FAULTS

Please report any faults in your room to reception. Our maintenance staff will do their best to fix the fault as soon as possible.

FIRST AID

In case of emergency, please contact reception.

KEYS

We recommend that you leave your room keys at the hotel reception. If keys are lost, a fee of € 30 will be charged.

PARKING 

We do not have our own car park. We advise you to contact our parking providers for parking.

PRICE LIST AND SURCHARGES

For each child,  a relevant valid document must be presented at check-in. The age of the child is the age of the child on the day the service starts, not the age of the child on the day of booking.

The price of an additional lunch or dinner is on the price list.

If the guest wishes to extend their stay, they must inform us one day prior to the agreed departure date. The services must be paid for before the extension. If a guest occupies a room and then leaves without completing the night’s stay, the full night’s stay will be charged.

We reserve the right to change the price list.

ENFORCEMENT OF HOUSE RULES AND VIOLATIONS

Compliance with the house rules is monitored by the hotel staff and security service providers. They have the possibility to check its application in all rooms at any time without prior authorisation from the guest.

In the case of violations of the house rules, measures are taken to prohibit entry, removal from the hotel’s exterior and interior spaces, temporary confiscation of substances or objects, and compensation for the damage caused.

FAMILIARITY WITH OUR HOUSE RULES

When you confirm your reservation or check in at the hotel, it is understood that you are familiar with the house rules and that you will comply with them. We reserve the right to change the house rules (in case of special events).
